Once upon a time...
...there was a little brown puppy named Azizakamili. In Mars of 2018 at the age of 8 weeks he moved into our house. We call him Enzo, which means "home ruler" or "ruler of the estate". Even though we didn't choose the name based on it's meaning, it turned out to describe him perfectly!
He acted like he owned our house from the very first day he set his paws inside of it.
To say the very least he changed our lives for the better and we are happy for every single day we get to spend with him!
Who are 'we'?
We are Enzo's two-legged family consisting of Johan, Pernilla and their daughter Astrid (who is writing this). We live on a farm in the southeast of Sweden with our horses, chickens, cats and Enzo!
Enzo is the third ridgeback to enter our household and he is by far the most active out of the three. Everyday, he demands his daily off leash laps over the surrounding plains, running as fast as he can. Enzo has some hunting instinct and likes to chase deer or hares if he sees any. However, he always returns before getting out of sight.
Due to his active nature, Enzo likes to work. Blood tracking and nosework are two of the activities he likes the best. At the moment we are focusing on getting his swedish blood tracking title!
Fortunately, Enzo is equipped with the famous "on/off-switch". This means that while he is active outdoors, he is also very calm indoors. He can sleep in the office for an entire day if he has to, as long as he gets his daily morning run.
Enzo is very much a part of the family. He is the happiest while he is around us and therefore follows us everywhere he can. We call him the family's stable boy, personal trainer and co-worker. Even though he spends most of his time with us, I wouldn't call him dependant on our company. He is very self-assured and could easily be alone without any issues, but he simply prefers to be with his family. Sometimes he might find what we do a little boring though and kindly tells us such with gestures and sounds.
Enzo has never displayed any aggressive behaviour towards other dogs and usually just wants to play with them.
He is also very fond of people, especially children.
